Welcome to the consultation website for Kensal Green Gasworks.

This website provides an update on the work so far, outlines next steps and suggests ways to get involved.

St William has plans to deliver around 790 new homes, including 35% affordable housing and a publicly accessible, landscaped park for residents and the local community to enjoy at Kensal Green Gasworks. The affordable housing proposed is Social Rent and London Living Rent.

In 2021 we asked the community to tell us their priorities for a redevelopment, how we should work with them and suggest any local groups we should meet with.

Later in 2021, we held four in-person consultation events, two in July and two in September, to share initial designs and gather feedback. We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback.

Further refinements have now been made in consideration of feedback received, changing market conditions, updated building regulations and planning policy requirements.

We are looking forward to updating you on our proposals and gaining further community feedback as we work towards submitting a planning application for consideration in early 2025.

St William

St William is specialise in the redevelopment of redundant gasworks sites across London and the south east. Our goal is to unlock some of the most technically complex regeneration sites, transforming them into beautiful places for people to live, work and spend time.

Redevelopment of the site will deliver new housing, including affordable homes. Opening up this closed-off site will also help to improve the local environment and offer opportunities for the surrounding community, including a new public space, safe pedestrian and cycle routes, improved access to the Grand Union Canal and small commercial uses such as a café.

The development will also provide funding through Section 106 contributions for improvements to local infrastructure.
